Looking to build out an Amero or just want to learn the details?

Not sure of which bottom bracket, headset or brakes to buy?

I was in the exact same position and on top of that I was not 100% fluent in BMX components. With time and research I figured it out and created this post so I have all the info in one place and can help others

Component Requirements

If you are building up your bike this is the most important section cause you need to know what component sizes and styles to purchase. 

Drivetrain

  • Bottom Bracket: Only Spanish Bottom Bracket fits
  • Bottom Brackets typically come in 19mm or 22mm, which size you get depends on the cranks you select.

Steering

  • Takes Integrated Headset
  • Fits Campy style headset

Seating

  • Standard BMX Size Seat Post
  • If you are looking at a pivotal seat, any pivotal seatpost will work 
  • Seat Clamp is integrated and not needed

Brakes

  • The removable brake hardware is the same model as on the Fit and S&M

  • 100% 4130 Cromo Sanko Tubing
  • 5.1 lbs.
  • Fully Heat-treated
  • Heat treated head tube, bottom bracket and drop outs
  • Double butted top tube, down tube and seat tube
  • 4 inch head tube
  • Integrated Campy style Head tube
  • externally machined Spanish Bottom Bracket
